How the Family Fun-Pack Program Works
The Frog Family Fun-Pack program is a 24-week parental involvement, homework, and test-preparation program.
It works whether parents come to school or stay at home! It works even if parents are unskilled, pressed for time, exhausted, non-English proficient and even illiterate (only one level requires parents to read.)
Family Fun-Packs take just minutes to play each night and are so fun parents will enjoy helping their child master the 25 important skills they'll be reviewing nightly.
The first week, every child takes home one Family Fun-Pack to play with his family. Students play the game every evening using the easy, self-checking directions.
Every playing of the Fun-Pack game gives the student a review of all 25 of the most important skills at his level! It’s like taking a practice test! The gamecards also communicate the curriculum to the parents by showing exactly what kinds of questions, vocabulary, and skills their child is expected to have mastered.
The second week, after returning the first Family Fun-Pack, each child gets to take home a different Family Fun-Pack. The new Fun-Pack has a different gameboard, but the rules are always exactly the same. It has different gamecards with different questions, but it reviews the same 25 skills.
For 24 weeks families follow this enjoyable and effective routine, playing a Frog Family Fun-Pack learning game each evening, using a new one each week.
This consistency provides a very solid foundation upon which further classroom instruction is built. Using Family Fun-Packs establishes the habit of daily study with parental involvement and participation, and the repetition develops competence, speed, and confidence necessary for positive learning attitudes and high achievement in class and on tests.
