2.) How does the Frog Family Fun-Pack Program work?
Frog Family Fun-Packs are a 24-week parental involvement, homework and test-preparation program that provides positive family interactions, effective homeschool communication and a systematic way for parents to help students do well in school. Each set contains materials that serve a class of up to 24 children. The first week, every child takes home one Family Fun-Pack to play with his family. To make it easy for parents to use consistently, Fun-Pack games take just a few minutes to play. All are self-checking so parents can help their children even if they themselves have not mastered the skills. Students play the self-checking game every evening using the easy directions. (Students using the Dual Language editions also have an auditory lesson each evening. It builds vocabulary and pronunciation in English.) Every playing of a Fun-Pack Game gives the student a review of all 25 of the most important skills at his level. The second week, after returning the first Fun-Pack, each child gets to take home a new, different Family Fun-Pack. The new Fun-Pack has a different, beautiful gameboard, but the rules never change, so parents always know exactly what to do. The new game has different gamecards with brand new questions, but they review the same 25 skills. For 24 weeks, families follow this enjoyable and effective routine, playing a Frog Family Fun-Pack Learning Game each evening and using a new one each week. Children can remain in the same level for 24 weeks without ever repeating a single question or gameboard. Or, they can advance to the next level whenever they're ready. This consistent practice provides a very solid foundation upon which further classroom instruction is built. And using the Fun-Packs establishes the habit of daily study with parental involvement and participation. The repetition develops confidence, speed, and confidence necessary for positive learning attitudes and high achievement in class and on tests.

3.) I can't get parents to come to school. Can the Frog Family Fun-Pack Program work for me?
The Frog Family Fun-Pack program works whether parents come to school or stay at home. Children take home a Fun-Pack game each week and play it nightly with their families. To make it easy for parents to use consistently, Fun-Pack games take just a few minutes to play. All are self-checking so parents can help their children even if they themselves are unskilled, exhausted, non-English proficient, or even illiterate (only one level requires parents to read). There is not time wasted in figuring out what to do because all the games use the same, simple directions. Kids master the skills and enjoy time with their families, too.

Yes. The Teacher Packet in each Family Fun-Pack Set includes ordering information for replacement parts in case they are needed. 14.) What is the difference between the Spanish/English Family
Fun-Pack and the Dual Language Family Fun-Packs?
All Family Fun-Packs work the same way.
The content differs from set to set. The Spanish/English Family Fun-Pack Set (PA-632) develops basic Spanish vocabulary. The questions and answers are in Spanish. This set is perfect for students who read Spanish, but have not yet learned to read or speak English. It is also useful for English speaking students who are learning Spanish.
Dual Language Family Fun-Packs develop 25 skills for each level. Questions and answers are presented in English for the student and in Spanish for the parent on every gamecard. Dual Language Family Fun-Packs enable Hispanic parents to assist their children in learning to read and speak English even if the parents speak little or no English. Each Dual Language Family-Fun Pack also includes a listen-and-repeat lesson on CD to give parents and children auditory assistance in pronunciation and comprehension.

15.) What's on the audio CDs that come with the Dual Language Family Fun-Packs?
First, parents and children hear a short introduction explaining the fun they will have as they listen and repeat. On a separate track, the Listen and Repeat auditory lesson provides a model of clear, unaccented natural English pronunciation of the words, phrases, or sentences on the cards in their Fun-Pack Game.
Through imitation the children, and even their entire families, learn to understand and pronounce all the English words. Each phrase is read once in Spanish with three repetitions in English. Pauses between repetitions give plenty of time to repeat the phrase aloud. With 3 repetitions, learners can fine tune pronunciation, learn the meaning and develop confidence.
